Givenchy & Ciara Are a Match Made in Heaven

Ciara's beautiful and I am so happy that she is the muse of Givenchy. Givency is flipping amazing so the two go hand in hand. I'm so proud of her and Rihanna as they've quickly become the go-to girls for high end designers, which in turn brings notierity to minorities in fashion. How beautiful is she rocking head to toe Givenchy? I love that Ciara is switching things up and allowing those in the know to influence her style. I would totally rock this look of feminine and masculine edge. The gold sequin harem pants are cool and the bow tie gives her that extra something. Of course after seeing her in this get-up I needed to see what the rest of the collection looked like. Shall we.
This is 1970s glamour at its best! Riccardo took every failed trend of previous seasons and did it right from feathered accents, silly hats, ethereal draping, dramatic pants, sheer tops and bold color. He also expressed his fear of approaching couture for the first time, but this collection deems him a seasoned pro. I so can't wait to see what he has in store for future collections.

Ciara and Rihanna Give You Bishes Couture!

Necole Bitchie has been really serving us the goods lately. When I saw these shots of Ciara, the current muse of Givenchy and Rihanna rocking Victor & Rolf, making their rounds about the Grammy parties, my eyes popped out of my head. First off, I didn't even know these two got along, but I guess since neither of the two young R&B starlets albums fared too well they might have much to talk about! lol.. On to the outfits.
Check out Cici in her blush colored sheared Givenchy coat, thigh high boots and culottes? (Takes me back to 6th Grade. lol) Not the best of looks but I have to give it to her for thinking outside the box. The key to trying a unique look is to let the statement piece speak for itself and to always keep the make-up understated.

And then we have Princess Rih Rih in her Victor & Rolf! You can always expect Rihanna to wear something abnormal, but she pulls it off every time!

This shot of them was utterly hilarious to me. They look like two tulips in a vase or two bags of cotton candy.. lol. I love it! I'd love to see these two hang out more often.

Style Verdict:: Inspired by Carmen Sandiego

So a few weeks ago Refinery 29 did a story on stylist drawing inspiration from six cartoon trendsetters. Of the six, one I can say I grew up on and watched everyday as a kid wondering where in the world would she be today at 5pm was Carmen Sandiego. :) Just 2 weeks later we see three huge stars step out with the same inspiring look. Kudos Refinery 29!! Dead on!!

Ciara in a hot Marchesa jumpsuit!

Penelope Cruz in an 80's inspired red Power Suit!
And Cate Blanchett looks lovely in vintage Ossie Clark

This is what fashion is all about folks! Translating trends from the runway, magazine editorials, to your closet. All three looks tried by women of different ages, capturing three different themes: edge, power and romanticism. Color is definitely in for Fall! The time has arrived to be once again fierce with fashion.

Haute Looks of the Week!

We get fabulous as ever from Ms. Eva. The taupe jacket is the business!

This look from Rosario is perfection!

Sporting Michael Kors, this look is casual chic, with a little punk edge...The jeans rock!

Gorgeous Arlenis! A tight & short mini dress should always be paired with a jacket to avoid looking trashy.

Personal style always prevails from VV Brown.

Love the 3.1. Phillip Lim Skirt. I'm on the fence about the gloves. But she still looks Haute!

How could you not love a tuxedo pant done right?? Get it Ms. Ross!

Ms. Keri Baby...Rocking it out in Matthew Williamson.

Coming in Chic'est Adrienne Baillon!
Agreed?

Erykah Badu for Tom Ford?

R & B chicks are turning the modeling industry on it's head! Rihanna, Beyonce, and a host of others have transitioned $uccessfully from entertainers to models and back again. Rihanna with Cover Girl and Got Milk? Bey with Armani and L'oreal, so who else is jumping on that million dollar bandwagon?

First up, the soulful Ms. Erykah Badu is the new face of Tom Ford White Patchouli fragrance. Check her out giving us her best Ms. Ross. This shot is fierce personified!

The Ford/Badu duo is a match made in advertising heaven. Tom Ford's ads are known for being sexual and risque while Badu has always been a creative entertainer traveling in her own lane. The fragrance is slated to hit a market near you in September. What do you think of the ad?

Another R & B diva who sent tongues wag
ging after her performance with Chris Brown on this year's BET awards is attempting to get into the world of modeling. Fresh off her stint with Rocawear, Ciara just signed a modeling contract with Wilhemenia.

"Modeling has always been one of my aspirations," says Ciara. "But I was insecure about my height. I thought I was 5'7" but I just found out that I'm 5'8" so I'm really excited about that." She's also in talks with affordable retailer Steve & Barry's to develop her own clothing line. I think she has what it takes. She's tall, beautiful, and her body is sick. Do you think Ciara is cut out to be a model?
